Pains in left arm [Archive]

I've been getting twinges, cramp like pains in my left arm in and off since 21st November. The gp put it down to my increase in zopiclone as this seemed to be when it started. I reduced the dose and it eased but it keeps recurring. I'm worried it's my heart but surely if it's been going in 2 months it can't be, can it? Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks x

Did your GP listen to your heart? If so then he/she would have picked up any abnormalities.

Yes he listened to my heart, I recently had a 48 hr ECG early November which came back fine. I just worry all the time about my heart. The pains aren't even that painful just like a mild cramping and keep thinking it's my heart...thanks for replying x

Heart worries are a typical HA issue. I worry all the time about mine, but if you were having a heart attack you would not be able to sit and type:D Thats how I tell myself nothing is wrong.

I'm fed up of being anxious about my heart. I know I need medication but am too scared to take anything. Surely if it was my heart it wouldn't have been on and off for 2 months x

I used to experience pains in my left arm and it was down to anxiety. Sometimes you don't realise it but your body becomes so tense and the aches and pains are a result of that. I imagine when you're more relaxed you don't feel those pains? The ECG would have detected anything, please try to believe that.

I'm still getting these pains in my left arm. I'm not sleeping and I lie there from about 0200 every morning just waiting for something to happen. Surely if it was my heart it wouldn't have been on and off since November. I'm worried sick :(
