So most might know I have this mouth lesion thing. GP and Dentist said it is harmless but sending me to the specialist for peace of mind but it is marked as routine and isn't until March.

Just noticed some pain in that area so looked for the first time in over a week and underneath it probably about 2-3mm underneath I have a really sore spot. Kind of like a canker sore but a bit more raised than I usually get them.

If it was connected to the lesion it wouldn't be under it right? the lesion itself looks fine and unchanged.

I am scared again now.

Hi if it's worrying you I'd go get an appointment with your dentist or doctor to just give you piece of mind. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about

Hi hypo.

I wouldn't have thought the two were connected, it's just unfortunate you've got a sore/ulcer when you're super focused on your mouth!
I went through the oral C worry and I also went to see an ENT specialist but mine was an urgent referral! That wasn't fun. He just had a look and said I was fine. Didn't believe him though. I was still obsessed for months after, until I found a new worry. Since then I've never really given my mouth a second thought.
Don't worry, especially since it's a non urgent appointment you have.
Hope you feel better!

Hypo,

You've been fearing this for a couple of months now. You've been seen by medical professionals who have given you the all clear a few times as well. If indeed this was sinister, you would have been quite ill by now. What else can anyone say to alleviate your fears?

Positive thoughts

It isn't the original lesion I was worried about, I had pretty much tackled that one but had a weak moment when I noticed the ulcer.

Just a moment of panic when I developed an ulcer underneath. I posted in the middle of a panic attack. A bit later I calmed down and now realise that it isn't connected and I feel calm again.

I hadn't looked for over a week at my mouth so I have made some amazing steps.

I posted the other day about my progress and no one replied and because I have raging PMT and was in the middle of a panic attack I stupidly took it really personally.

Anyway it's all good here again :) Just one bad moment for the first time in over a week.
