Hi
I've been a member for awhile but this is my first time posting. I suffer with anxiety, with those doom/gloom feelings. I can never truly relax- always on edge...

Dare I say it, I am a peri-menopausal woman who is feeling overwhelmed. I hope to get a better grip on things by being here. Looking forward to getting to know you all.

Autumn~

Hello Autumn,

Welcome to the Forum, I too suffer with those doom/gloom feelings. I can never truly relax- always on edge...also. It all started about two years ago out of the blue.. I am a 50 year old women and think it is all do to being menopausal also. When my anxiety really gets bad I get to feel like I can't breath. Do you ever get this feeling?? I have some good days and bad days. I out of the blue feel like I just want to cry and I don't know what about, I can't sleep some nights, get the hot sweats, etc. What are some of the issues you deal with??

Antonio and ray - thank you for the warm welcome :)

Blondie ~ been really suffering with peri-menopause for a number of years. I get the usual symptoms although no night sweats but at times I do feel very uncomfortably hot. I can't tolerate the heat of a hot summer for example whereas before I had no problem. I have some very bizzare symptoms like muscle twitching, fatigue and tiredness. It all seems to hit me just after a period (sorry guys  ) - The anxiety has been hard to deal with lately and I've become depressed with lack of motivation. I think dealing with the symptoms of hormonal imbalance has made me a nervous wreck - I wake up in the morning and wonder what the day will bring.... mornings can be horrible for me and this is the time when i usually become anxious.

I just don't feel well at times which sets me off.

I'm going to post under the womens section soon so I will tell you more.

tee~ I have explored therapy. Seeing my therapist at the beginning of Feb and I take 0.5mg Lorazepam which isn't helping anymore but I don't want to increase it.

:hugs:
