blood blister

Does anyone know anything about blood blisters? I seem to have developed one on my toe next to my nail but I'm not sure how. I haven't pinched it or bumped it or anything that I remember.
Its like a little raised black spot. That's a blood blister right?
They are not a symptom of anything drastic are they?
Its fine right?

I've had blood blisters I pop mine with a pin. Please don't do that though it can cause infection. It will get better soon.

Yeah, I've had those. They are gross, but harmless.

I popped it.. it bled. I now have a hole in my toe and lots of loose skin around it.

I know you're probably thinking.. why the hell is she worried about a blister??

Truth is, I'm not really. As long as it's only a blister and nothing life threatening which I wont mention to avoid triggering anyone but I'm sure most of you can guess.

I've cleaned the area and used antiseptic wash and keeping it dry... not sure what to expect when I wake up in the morning!
