Strange depressing feeling

This may sound strange, but i get a weird bad feeling in my chest. It happens whenever i think of something thats bad, or if im faced with a choice. Its very random, but makes me feel very down. It only lasts a few minutes. People have said its depression, but depression seems to be a general feeling of sadness etc, this is more of a physical light pain. I have had this feeling for as long as i can remember, im now 22. Does anyone have any enlightenment?

Anxiety .. feeling of something bad is going to happen.It will actually cause you to feel a slight pain.I get it too but in another way .I feel nervousness and kind of a doom feeling..even conversations or looking at something can trigger it..Its pretty normal..its part of the wonderful world of anxiety ..
