I am having a feeling of nausea during the day. It starts when I get up and continues on and off through the day. I have been taking Motillium for it. I keep thinking it's related to my head as I have some bumps on my scalp which are sore and my neck hurts a lot of the time.

I bought some Kalms yesterday to help me as I'm thinking the worst as usual. I'm sick of always feeling there is something really bad happening in my body. I feel all doom and gloom at the moment. This dark dingy weather makes it worse too.

Anyone else feel sickly for no reason? I do have IBS but never had nausea with it before.

I wake up feeling sick and just generally horrible everyday, no I'm not pregnant! haha.

Seriously though, it is very common with anxiety, do you still notice it when your busy doing something? when we are anxious it causes us to burn a lot of extra resources and create lots of acid, so it's important to keep eating as well :)

I would put something warm on your neck if you can, it works the best for tension and pains. you could even try it for those bumps :)

Thanks Luna, it comes and goes, I think if I'm occupied its not as noticeable. I worry about it too and it makes me worse I think. Also wondering if it could be connected to my head lumps, that makes me think all sorts obviously. Will try the covering neck thing, my Mother would have agreed with you there, it was her mantra, keep your neck/chest warm! Haha!

Don't worry, I thought the same when I first started feeling sick, I thought oh could this be connected to my headaches etc..

A nice warm bath and massage is pretty good as well! :)

Feeling sick again and dizzy, worried again :-(

Oh, don't worry, it wouldn't come and go if it was bad :)

Have you got something to occupy yourself with?

CeeCeeCee

Yes, Luna, I'm working at the moment (from home) It does help a bit and I know you're probably right, but been a bit dizzy too and I think I look yellow-ish. I've made an appointment with doc, don't really want to go just in case she sends me for tests which means she's worried, but I have to do something about the worrying and anxiety if nothing else. Can't be living like this forever :-/

Being a little tanned is probably a good thing! as long as you don't look like your from the Simpsons your fine :)

I know I usually look like a ghost at the best of times!

Her sending you for tests doesn't mean she's worried, it's just a standard thing to check your health, I know when I went and told the doctor how I felt he did the same, I ended up getting 5 different blood tests which were all fine :)

Thanks, you're right, I am always pale in winter, but possibly look yellowy in the mirror as it's been a dull day up till now and sky is a funny colour so probably reflecting :-) haha!. Yes, she will know best so have to put my trust in her.

Not sure if I'm being a bit premature but feel a lot better today. Didn't wke up feeling sick and had good sleep, got a few head pains though. Maybe it is just anxiety after all and I'm too preoccupied to day because it's my birthday :-) Here's hoping!

LunaLiuna

I'm glad to hear that!

Ooooo Happy Birthday!! :D :yahoo:

Went to docs, she said sickness could be the anxiety, she's put me on Citalopram 20mg. However she didn't look at the bumps on my head, I just told her at the last minute that my head was sore and she looked at my scalp and the small red spots there, she said they were probably a kind of dermatitis. That's fine but the lumps are still there and quite sore and I am getting more, I'm also going dizzy. Still a bit concerned and kicking myself I didn't tell her there were also lumps on head as well as red marks.

Hmmm, have you changed shampoo or anything recently? I could be an allergic reaction, other than what I've listed before I'm not sure. It could also be irritation from constantly feeling for more spots.

See how the Citalopram goes and if the sore spots get any worse I'd go back to the GP :)

Well I do colour my hair, it's obviously quite a strong substance. I did it a few weeks ago so could coincide with that.

Thing is though that it's under my scalp and quite sore, as well as having a few surface scalp sores, large-ish and smaller lumps. I've bought some special shampoo so hopefully it will help. Thanks again Luna, will keep you posted :-)

It's probably the dye then!

A friend of mine always seems to be dying her hair then she moans when it starts falling out, it's quite funny, I mean what else would you expect from bleaching it constantly!

I hope things get a little better for you soon :)

My head bumps are still there and quite sore and I'm going light headed a lot now and have neck pain. Just hoping it's my raised medication but it's scary. Taken a step back with my anxiety at the moment unfortunately.

LunaLiuna

Oh no, don't worry there will always be a little setback :)

The lightheadedness will most likely be from the medication, but it could also be caused by muscle tension as you mentioned the neck pain.

Keep going Cee, you've done well so far :D

Thanks Luna, I'm trying but finding it hard at the moment. Had a panic attack through the night, felt really sick with a fearful feeling in my stomach, never had this before and felt ill till this afternoon. Had ear pain too and feels linked to my head lump pain. Am going away next week I'm scared I'll be ill again when I'm away. I'm still sure I'm looking yellow but my husband says I'm not. I hope the medication clicks in soon as I feel worse! :-(

Awww. Did I mention to you a while ago about jaw clenching? I'm pretty sure I did, I've been having ear pain and neck tension for the past couple of days because of mine.

I hope you feel better soon, you could ask your husband to check for you grinding during sleep.

I know upping medication can cause extra clenching also.

I'm sure when your away you won't even notice your symptoms :)

I think I have a link somewhere that lists all the problems that your jaw could cause if you want it?

CeeCeeCee

Yes I think you did, I had forgotten. My husband says so I do clench my teeth really badly at night, also I chew my tongue. That link would be good, thanks :)

It's fine, I would at least check in with a dentist to get their opinion as well :)

If it doesnt work just copy and paste it into your search bar, I think the links always end up not working.

Hi Luna, I'm back with more worries. I've been referred by my niece, who's a dentist, to the dental hospital to ease my mind re my tongue. This has made me panic and worry again as I am terrified it's something bad, I've been great over the last week or so and had started to put it to the back of my mind, then I went to her to fit a gumshield and she checked me out, she knows how worried I've been. She says she's sure its ok but wants me to have it checked. She checked my neck etc and says it's fine. I know my grinding has been bad lately. Really really scared now and feeling sick with the worry...

What is making you think it's bad, Cee? It sounds like your niece is being responsible and making sure that the family connection isn't unduly influencing her judgment. Is there anything else she said that you're not mentioning?

CeeCeeCee

Hi Althea, thank you for the reply, she didn't really say anything to scare me but I keep thinking that she was protecting me as she knows I have this anxiety. I thought I detected that she was a bit anxious but then again, she hadn't treated me before and it must be a bit odd for her. My husband says she's just doing her job properly and using belt and braces. My tongue has gotten worse and I've had it a while now and my grinding and tongue chewing has made inflamed marks, but its at the very back that I have the small ulcer type things. Keep feeling so scared, have taken half a diazepam to calm me down.

Hey Cee,

Sorry to hear your having a little wobble, look try to focus on what you definitely do have. It will be hard but you will be fine. I'm not a doctor but I know that acid reflux usually can come with grinding which can cause little uclers when the acid comes up in the night. I've also had the inflamed frilly marks from my teeth, it's how my dentist noticed I was grinding!

How's the guard going?

I'm sure you'll feel better soon :)

Hi Luna, yes, you're right, I should concentrate on the reality and I definitely do have sore marks and teeth lines and it is definitely with chewing my tongue, so I know it would be a bit of a co-incidence that I also have another tongue issue that is something sinister. I'm just terrified of seeing a specialist who might tell me the worst, I keep thinking I won't be here for the summer etc. I hadn't thought of acid causing the ulcers though, maybe my IBS causes this?

My tongue has gotten worse

In my earlier post I meant to say that my tongue HASN'T gotten worse, sorry!

LunaLiuna
18-02-14, 20:03
the IBS, maybe. I'm not too sure..

But I know how you feel, I still think when I get a temple ache that it's something more sinister, but I've had to have a little faith and remind myself what I know I have.

If it hasn't got worse then I'm sure it's nothing.

Feel free too message me if you need anything :)

Thank you Luna, I had this yesterday and wasn't thinking about it at all, a day later and I'm scared again. Beginning to wish I hadn't even gone. Will prob message you soon, thanks.
