Terrified of Leukemia!

So scared! I noticed a small dark bruise on my arm earlier and I know that that's a symptom of Leukemia! I'm so worried that I have it, I asked my parents and they said that wouldn't be the only sign. They said I'd be REALLY sick if I had it. Is this true, would there be more symptoms than just a bruise?? Thanks

Yes there definately would be! Could you imagine if every person that had an unexplained bruise had cancer? I get bruises sometimes so bad I look like someone punched me and I have no idea how it got there. You probably banged your arm it didn't really hurt so you didn't notice it. Maybe you even did it in your sleep.

A small dark bruise on your arm is also a symptom of banging yourself ;)

I agree with your parents and I have experience of patients with leukemia. If you had leukemia you would have far more symptoms than a bruise.
Getting a bruise every now and then is perfectly normal, even if you can't recall anything hitting your arm.

Try not to worry about it.
