Hi all, I am 2 weeks into Fluoxetine, 20mg per day, for anxiety and obsessive thoughts. I'm getting to the stage where things are starting to improve in the afternoon and evening some days, but god the side effects are horrible.
Sometimes I find that I go to sleep feeling much better, and have a good sleep, only to wake up the next day with the anxious feelings back again - a bit like Groundhog Day! Then it'll take most of the day to get improvement again.
Does anyone else experience this, or know why this might happen?

Hi, yes I get that too and I hate it. At the moment I'm on 2.5ml of liquid Fluoxetine which is equal to a 10mg tablet/capsule I believe. I've tried twice to up my dose to 3.0mls and the mornings were horrible, I felt as though I was losing my mind. I'd have doom and gloom thoughts and dread too, but as you said, come afternoon that lifted! I'm back down to 2.5 now and the mornings, although yuk, are not as bad.
I don't know why mornings are bad, but I wish I could find an answer.
I'm also finding I feel more irritable like I'm in a permanent bad mood, I hope that goes away too.

Hope things improve for you soon.
Take care.
Lynn
