Hi my name is Alison, just registered today, feel like i need support from someone who understands. I have been suffering from anxiety for about 4 years, I took venlafaxine for 3 years and gradually came off it as i felt better in May 2006, by July the old panic symptoms started to reoccur, so i went back to the doctors and he prescribed prozac, which i have been taking since then. I can't seem to stop the constant negetive thinking, worrying about whether i am going to feel ill 24 hours a day, no matter what i am doing , i cant get it out of my head.
My latest symptom is a feeling that my legs are so weak that they are going to give way and i am constantly worried that wherever i go I might pass out, supermarkets are a nightmare and i am finding it increasingly difficultto go to my work as a pre school assistant, can anybody help? please

Hi Alison,

Welcome to NMP. You are in the right place to find loads of support and understanding. Chech through the forums and you will quickly find you are very much not alone.

Chatroom can be really useful for getting to know folks and sharing all sorts of stuff, most importantly a smile.

Take care

hi there
welcome to this site and i do hope that you will meet alot of friends and that this site will help you.
i am also on prozac and also get all those thoughts and feelings that you have described. i am also going for tests for epilepsy as it is in my family and feel that i cant stand when i have an attack. i cant stand when i have one. do you know that i am jealous of you? - you have a job where i cant work due to the attacks and what the doctors say about me! use your job as something to keep your mind on something else and enjoy playing with all those little kids. i really wish that i could work.
if you want to talk there is the chat line which is open from about 8pm or you can send me an e-mail on this site.

Hi Alison

Saw you in and out of chat a couple of times. Sometimes it feel hard to get into but we were all like that once. If you really need to speak withsomeone about anything just say and someone will talk to you 1-1 if you wish.

It can be crazy and it can be informative and it can be a little light relief.

Welcome Friend,

I hope you find these forums as beneficial as I do.

It's often easier to articulate how you feel in type than verbally in person and in here you can raise anything and find that, no matter how bizarre or unique you might think your problem is, the chances are there's someone out there watching the forum who's exactly the same, suffering like you, worrying like you .... and getting better like you.:D

Happiness and light to all,

I saw her once, one little while, and then no more:
’Twas Eden’s light on Earth a while, and then no more.
Amid the throng she passed along the meadow-floor:
Spring seemed to smile on Earth awhile, and then no more;
But whence she came, which way she went, what garb she wore
I noted not; I gazed a while, and then no more!
