When someone told me the other day that even if you hold your breath you will simply pass out and resume breathing normally it majorly helped so I have to ask is it the same with swallowing. So is it impossible to stop yourself swallowing? Like on a normal day to day basis. One of my intrusive thoughts is what if you wont let yourself swallow and you choke on your saliva? thanks x

You can't choke on your saliva because you swallow saliva automatically, you cannot "stop" yourself from swallowing it.

If we could, we would all choke in our sleep.
