scared intrusive thought

hi ive been having intrusive thought today and its scared the life out of me as i had just finished tidying up and i sat down and all of a sudden i thought i feel suicidal i tryed laugh it of and said to myself why would i think that for i dont even know how you feel when you are suicidal. but i cant seem to get it out my head and its worrying meas too why do i think that, ive had this thought before can anyone tell me if this is normal and as to why i think that, thkyou

Hi Tricia,yep I was having the same thoughts a few week back and was exactly like youthinking dont be stupid what the hell am I thinking!! Have you heard something on the news of someone suicidal and this has triggered it maybe?? Whatever I hear plays on my mind thinking will I do that,will that happen to me etc i think it's all part of anxiety :( xx
