In terms of anxiety the question you should ask is what challenge is this stressful experience preparing me for. It might be a thought about yourself, a belief about something, an actual physical challenge, or something else. Afterall, the anxious response IS a stress response. It a response to something, usually a belief about something. Can you use the stress response to tackle those thoughts and beliefs? :)
