Hello All,

I am suffering from panic attacks. I am going through a period of change. I have set up a small business this year & my first daughter is due any moment!

I have suffered from Panic attacks for a couple years although I did not really want to recognise them.

I have sought counselling but for the moment seems to have made things slightly worse than before.

I am a recruitment consultant & spend much time on the telephone. This seems to be the trigger at the moment for me.

So there you have it, some background to me.

Many thanks,

George

Welcome to the forum, George.

Counselling could make the panics a bit worse if you are not comfortable with the sessions, but maybe its the prospect of fatherhood that is unsettling you?

Take Care,

Ray

Welcome,

I hope you find these forums as beneficial as I do.

It's often easier to articulate how you feel in type than verbally in person and in here you can raise anything and find that, no matter how bizarre or unique you might think your problem is, the chances are there's someone out there watching the forum who's exactly the same, suffering like you, worrying like you .... and getting better like you.:D

I saw her once, one little while, and then no more:
’Twas Eden’s light on Earth a while, and then no more.
Amid the throng she passed along the meadow-floor:
Spring seemed to smile on Earth awhile, and then no more;
But whence she came, which way she went, what garb she wore
I noted not; I gazed a while, and then no more!

Hi george,

Welcome to this great site. Im certain you will get loads of help, advice and support from the site.
I had 6 sessions of counselling for panic and anxiety last year.
However they seemed to make me feel worse not better.
I have gained confidence from the friends ive made on this site and am at last begining to get some kind of normality in my life.
Hope everything goes well for the birth of your first daughter.

Take care
LYNN xx
