As a mum with a child suffering from PA's i really need all the help and info I can.
I feel I am on the start of a very long road for my child and I will probably encounter lots of difficulties in getting the right treatment.

From finding this site, earlier today I feel it is going to be a real help in pointing me in the right direction.

My child's symptoms are very complex (probably like most peoples!) and I really want to make sure I do everything right and as quickly as I can for my childs recovery.

If anyone can offer me help with how they got on with UK child health services, please let me know.

Thanks.

Hi Julie,

Welcome to NMP, it is as valuable for sufferers as it is carers and as you have discovered there is heaps of good stuff in here.

What is also useful is to hear from carers and get their stories.

Whilst we have been fortunate that our kids havent had many anxiety issues, as parents and working in education, we do understand the issues.

Cheers

Iain

Welcome,

I hope you find these forums as beneficial as I do.

It's often easier to articulate how you feel in type than verbally in person and in here you can raise anything and find that, no matter how bizarre or unique you might think your problem is, the chances are there's someone out there watching the forum who's exactly the same, suffering like you, worrying like you .... and getting better like you.:D

I saw her once, one little while, and then no more:
’Twas Eden’s light on Earth a while, and then no more.
Amid the throng she passed along the meadow-floor:
Spring seemed to smile on Earth awhile, and then no more;
But whence she came, which way she went, what garb she wore
I noted not; I gazed a while, and then no more!

Thanks everyone for a warm welcome, you have made me feel totally at ease already!!!

The more I check this site out the better I feel about tackling issues for my child. We read some people's own personal issues on the forum and believe it or not - she hasn't had a PA today at all - she just did the 'A for antelope, B for ...' exercise and it worked!!!!
