I fell over last Saturday and banged the back of
My head, I was diagnosed with mild concussion, now a week later to touch my head is still really painful, headaches and dizziness to. I'm really scared I have a bleed on the brain as it can take weeks to show. Anyone had a bad head injury before and got any advice? X

I hit my head with the door the other day (don't ask lol) and its still sore now to touch though had gotten much better and there was no visible bruising.
If you're worried by all means go and get it checked out because we obviously cannot diagnose here. I assume you had tests/checks when you did it

You'd know if you had a bleed In The brain.
- unusual drowsiness, confusion or failure to recognise surroundings
- abnormal or change in behaviour
- actual unconsciousness
- Persistent or severe headache
- Repeated vomiting
- loss of use, or weakness of arms/leg/face,
- blurred vision, seeing double
- persistent discharge from the nose or ears.

This is the NHS actions for emergency.

I think you'll be just fine. X

Thank u both

I didn't have a ct scan, dr checked eyes, head and bp, I no it's highly
Unlikely after a week I'm just terrified that how hard I banged my head I haven't done some serious damage. I wish I could just have a scan to check x

Best advice yet :):yesyes:

I know this as my son has Haemophilia (bleeding condition, where he lacks a gene in his blood enabling it to clot properly). And when he gets a knock on the head, the above leaflet is what I receive every time. He's 2 and you could say I've learnt the list!!
