I am really struggling today I have been feeling that i cant breathe properly like the oxygen isnt getting to my lungs thefore I am taking that deep breath.my whole body feels like it is starving for oxygen.I am taking xanax and usually this sorts everything out but today it hasnt done a thing .I am just puffed out.Left work slept an hour thought it was gone and wammo back again.I just cant keep doing this four years ago I was an average thrill seeking aussie bloke now i am a nervous hypocondriac joke according to those that know me.I cant even take antibiotics for an infection cause of fear of the side affects.I am forever touching my neck thinking it is swelling up and gunna choke me.I just want the old me back and i think so does my wife and kids but how do i find him

Hi Miff, are you taking any medication? I just wondered because I really suffered with breathlessness before my GP put me on Prozac. After a few weeks of taking Prozac my breathing settled down again. I came off Prozac a month ago and the breathlessness has come back. I'm not worried aobut it this time though because I now know that it really is just anxiety. My symptoms are exactly the same as yours. If it gets too much for me, then I suspect I will go back on the Prozac. It's a bit hard to cope with the symptoms when I work full-time and a lot of my time is spent on the telephone so I need all the breath I can muster!!

Hope you get some reassuring comments.
