cause for concern?

So ive been on paroxetine 20mg, clonazepam .5mg, and olanzapine 5mg for almost a year now. I recently came off the clonazepam cold turkey and am now experiencing some horrible side effects such as jolting up right when i try to sleep with shortness of breath. Im pretty worried and was wondering if anyone had any insight?

How long ago did you stop taking the clonazepam?

It does sound to me like withdrawal. Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine, which is a family of medications that are known to have quite strong withdrawal effects if ceased abruptly. Generally doctors suggest gradually lowering the dose prior to ceasing use of this medicine. Give your doctor a call and let them know you've stopped the medication cold-turkey and are having some side-effects. They'll be able to give you advice on how to best manage them.
