Hello....introducing myself

Hello. I am a mum of four. Recently after the birth of my baby daughter I have suffered from postnatal anxiety issues. My docs started me on fluoxetine about 16 days ago. I would love to hear from others who have been on this drug. Hopeful stories please as I am still plagued by unbearable anxiety. I am only in the initial stages of treatment but have taken heart from all the members who have had positive experiences of this drug on this forum.

Congratulations on baby number 4! You must be exhausted! I suffered from post natal anxiety many years ago and it is horrid. In those days they dished out benzos and I have no experience of the meds you have been prescribed. I have just started citalopram (my first time ever on anti depressants and they are supposed to help with anxiety, which is why I have them). From what I have read on the forums they can make you feel worse before you feel better. I hope you soon begin to feel better. X
