Hi everyone again.
I know none of you are doctors and I know this new thread may annoy people, but just some kind words of reassurance that I haven't gone mad
I've been to the doctors twice, second dr is referring me to a specialist to put my mind at ease (bless her) of course as soon as I got home I was worrying again, and found yet another mole which I didn't get the doctor to look at (oh it's right under my bum cheek so I can't see it, but I can feel it and it doesn't feel good!)
Anyway I. A ukr evident with free nhl service which is lovely however I read somewhere it can take anything up to 18 weeks for initial appointment. 18 weeks!!!!! Of course in my head that's too late to catch it in time, so I've rung a private dermatologist for an appt on Tuesday. It costs quite a bit.
Does anyone know, say they find something dodgy, can I then be instantly referred to the nah for further treatment/surgery?
Thanks for any replies
L xx

Wow I just noticed how badly spelt everything was in my previous post. That's me not realising how much my ipad changes words! Well done for understanding sarah and thanks for the reply :) x

I had a mole examined and removed by a dermatologist, who sent it off for biopsy immediately. The (positive) result was back within 4 days, and I was admitted to hospital within a week for further surgery. And I've been fine and dandy for 30 plus years now!

They don't hang around with malignant mellanoma!

Please don't torture yourself! Your appointment next week will put your mind at rest! You're going to be just fine

If there's anything to indicate something serious you'll be treated for it very quickly. They won't leave you with something they consider to be dangerous to your health. Just remember that :)
