hi, i've been having panic attacks for over a year, tablets haven't worked and trying to keep busy doesn't work either. Is it normal to wake up in a panic and then have your thoughts consume all of your mind so you can't sleep. Guess i'm of the hope that by sending this out into cyber space someone may help.

Hi Purdy,

If the tablets aren't working then it may help to go and see a psycologist, counsellor or even your doctor etc. Talking to them will help. I have also found that relaxation cd's help.

This website is also fantastic to be able to express your feelings and fears and the responses you receive from others makes you feel a whole lot better.

Hi Purdy

Know the feeling and yes it is horrible. But you've come to the right place where you'll meet lots of good folk who know exactly what you're going through and where you'll get lots of help, support and understanding.

Stick around:)

Hi Purdy

A BIG warm welcome to you, lovely to see you here, im sure you will get some great advice while making new friends on the way.

Maybe it would be a good idea to visit your GP again, you say your medication isnt working, how long have you been taking them?Maybe they are not the right ones for you, i tried 3 different kinds before i found the right ones that helped.
