Citalopram and gastric pains

Just a quick question re gastric pain/spasms as an SE of Citalopram.

I upped my dose to 7.5mgs on Saturday night and by Monday evening I was getting severe pain/spasms of my stomach. It comes and goes and it makes no difference if I have eaten or not.

I am slowly titrating upwards with Cit as I suffer from SE's badly and am also sensitive to drugs. But this SE has only come on since upping from 5mgs to 7.5mgs.

The pain woke me in the night last night and I was just wondering if anyone else has had this and it has passed with time?

I have looked on the Citalopram Survival Guide and can't see a mention of this SE.

Stoamach upset is definately one of the earlier side affects. I had it for a couple of weeks and then it settled . Try some motilium , ity will help

It's pain rather than anything else.... like a spasm..... I'm hoping it's a transitory symptom.
