Hi,

Well I've posted only a few times but thought I'd give you an update! About 10 years ago, following terrible health anxiety, palpitations and racing heart, I was referred to a specialist. This was due to ecgs showing up with something unusual. They thought I had a heart condition called Wolffe Parkinson White syndrome which is an extra accessory pathway in your heart. I went to have the pathway ablated however they couldn't find it! I left the specialist feeling a little confused but managed to continue on as best as I could. Following this I suffered terrible bouts of health anxiety and not just about my heart.

I don't know exactly how I did this but for the past year I have been able to control the anxiety. I think mainly its due to me accepting my various symptoms or by distraction. I have also managed to replace those negative thoughts with more realistic ones. If I am tired and fatigued I think "well your feelibg exhausted cause youve had a massive week at work" etc. This is probably the thing that has helped the most.

Anyway, following the advice fron my gp, I went back to the cardiologist for a check up. I finally found out, following another odd ecg, that I have something called fistula preexcitation. Basically I will feel palps etc more than the normal peeson and that its not dangerous! Wonderful to hear those words :) Anyway, just wanted to give an update xx
