Something red in my vomit

Hi all,

My first post on the forum - I have health anxiety and something has me worried. I vomited yesterday and spotted something red in it just as i flushed the toilet, i had eaten a red bell pepper on a pizza slice about 24hrs previous. Is it possible that that's what it was? I vomited again later but didnt notice anything in it that time. I had the stomach flu by the way, which has passed now.

It could be red pepper or tomato from the pizza. If you are feeling better now, I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks, is it possible to vomit food that was consumed the previous day?

Yes it takes up to 24 hours to digest food. Blood on vomit doesn't look red it looks brown like coffee grinds. You are perfectly fine.
