The other day my diastolic (bottom blood pressure number) reached 106 during an attack, so now whenever my pressure goes towards high (80-95) I start to panic thinking it's gonna keep climbing and kill me. Over 110 is a hypertensive emergency  My heart rate can reach 180 too. Normally my pressure is okay or lowish, so I was just wondering what other people's readings are like during an attack?

The maximum heart rate that I have already registered was about 140 bpm. As for blood pressure, it was about 160 mmHg (systolic) and 100 mmHg (diastolic). In my case, most of the times it's only the heart rate that goes up though. I'm on a beta-blocker now so that the heart rate won't go that high. Whenever the heart rate goes up I start to panic even more (the same goes to the blood pressure).

my highest was 188/116 and that was after a day drinking at a party followed by a day of anxiety attacks

My heart rate's gone up to 110 before, no idea about blood pressure though. I don't have anything to monitor that.

Thanks for the reassurance. Just had another spike of 155/100. Makes it hard to calm down when you think not calming down might kill you :-/

My heart rate can and has gone over 200, not sure about the blood pressue. I will check next time I panic.

The thing is that I think it's okay if they go very high because it usually doesn't last too long. The main cause is anxiety so there isn't anything medically wrong.
