As you have been reading on the forum, that I have NF. When I was nine or ten an optician spotted something wrong (not serious but cannot remember whether it was bright spot or something similar. I know I cannot have whatever it is removing, just got to keep an eye on it) I have had three brain scans, not had one since 2002/2003. but I do go for regular eye exams at an opticians.
I was at GP last week because I was concerned about one of my NF lumps (also was worried about testicular cancer again, checking too many times, thought I could feel something.)
I showed it to a GP last year and said it was fine. He also got on to the subject about if I was due for another brain scan. I cannot keep check of what I been discharged from by the hospitals I have seen so many GPs/specialist etc over the years. I told him I do not get regular headaches or feeling sick or been sick when I wake up (the last time I was threw up when I was 11.)
I know I have had a few scans over the last 18 months so this may be taken in to account, to keep me safe as possible.
