Jaw joint making clicking/cracking noises and sometimes hurts when I open my mouth

When I eat, my parents and my sister always notices the noises that my jaw makes. I don't even notice it most of the time but they do and they're starting to worry a little. I'm also getting concerned. Even when I move my jaw side to side it makes the same noises both sides. Could it be something serious??

Mine does the same. I have an undershot jaw, nothing serious. I had a guard thing to wear on my bottom teeth for a while.

My jaw intermittently clicks, plus gets stuck open at the dentist. I have tmj, but I also dislocated it twice at martial arts.
