My name is Dani, I've been suffering from panic disorder on and off for 5 years now.

When I think back, I was always anxious. I grew up in an unstable environment and with a heart condition so I've always had bad health anxiety. I've also always struggled with depression and am trying to recover from an eating disorder. (Nice pile of work huh?)
But as a writer, it's not too bad. I feel inspired.

My panic really blew up when I was 22 and I got in a car accident, which stuck my accelerator and I jumped from the car resulting in a head injury with a passing hematoma. I wasn't concussed, my skull didn't break, but since then I've been a lot more emotional. This actually worries me...

But I've recovered twice, nonetheless. This last time was induced by hash.
I've been dealing with this for 6-7 months now. I panic nearly everyday.
I do see a psychologist, and take Ativan as needed. I've tried anti-depressants but the effects often make me feel worse. So I think it could help but I hate feeling like a test pilot.
