hi everyone, ive come to this forum hoping to speak to people in the same boat as me, I've suffered depression and anxiety for over 10 years now. its really starting to get me down, I feel like im just gonna have to live with this forever I cant see anyway out. ive been on citalopram 40mg for 4 weeks now and it doesn't seem to be making any difference to the way I feel, I was on sertraline before that which didn't work either. look forward to hearing from you.

It does take longer than 4 weeks for the effects to be felt from antidepressants but unfortunately it is a case of trial and error to find the 1 that is right for you but keep on plodding on.

:welcome: Finding the right med to help may take some trial and error. I've only tried Lexapro, which really didn't help for long and I didn't want to increase it. I"m to the point of wanting to try something else.
