Yeah, ain`t too far away and know it well. Used to go to relatives near there!! Hereford is a quiet city!!
I prefer to live in quiet but go to busy citys when i can, shopping meeting people etc..

I live in Solihull which is a bit calmer than Birmingham I couldnt live in the middle of a big city, I went to Paris for a weekend a few weeks back was a lovely city but not if you want peace and quiet!

I am not from the Midlands, but there was a NMP get together at Kingsbury Water Park in Sutton Coldfield back in 2005.

I think it was chosen for relatively easy road access if my memory serves me correctly. Unfortunately the thread has now gone.

I went to the get together at the water park and we had a really good time.

Just a few little points I would make. Firstly, get one person to take charge of the get together else it gets very confusing! Arrange a date and time and stick to it! Exchange mobile phone numbers for easy contact. Only agree to meet up if you know you will definately be there as a couple of meet up's have only resulted in a couple of people turning up when a lot more had been expected.

Thanks for that. I know the Water Park and I have seen the pictures of your meet. Whilst it is relatively easy to find, I don't think it offers the same pleasures in February!!!!!!!

I agree with your points Kate and once some ideas had been thrown up I was going to take responsibility for organising with any support offered. I have pulled together people previously and I know how problematic it can be.....like I said to Kazzie.....a bit like herding cats!!
