Hi
Just thought I'd let you know that I managed ( with the help of my hubby) to go xmas shopping an hours drive away, shop for 2hours and stop for a coffee:). If you had told me that i would have to go to the local supermarket for a loaf of bread 2 months ago I would of been in the throws of a major panic attack and no way was I going.
I not saying it was fun, or enjoyable but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, yes I still had the panicky feelings and thoughts, kept thinking I was going to faint whilst queueing, legs gogging wobbly, head spinning you know the rest, but I managed to stay with it.
Felt worse the next day, anxiety all day and thought I shouldn't have pushed myself and had made myself worse, but last night I can actually say was the first night in months that I have not had any anxiety, then today went to the local supermarket, usually my anxiety is 10/10 and I rush round like a headless chicken, in tears if there are long queues and quite often leave, but today I couldn't score the anxiety more than 4/10 it was probably a 3. So that extra push I think has done me some good.

So if there is anyone out there wondering if they should do something, it might be only walking to the end of the path, I say go for it, its definately worth the effort:).

As I say time and time again ".... you can only eat an elephant one bite at a time"; your shopping trips gave you quite an appetite and you've starated to devour the beast. WELL DONE!!!!!

Well done Jane, you're braver than me!

Even though Norwich is perhaps a sleepy little town I'm avoiding the shops/malls until after the January sales. Fortunately we don't 'do' Xmas so there's no need to go anywhere except Tesco for essentials.

Hope you keep going in the right direction and have a great festive season.

Happiness and light to all,
'Chopper'

I saw her once, one little while, and then no more:
’Twas Eden’s light on Earth a while, and then no more.
Amid the throng she passed along the meadow-floor:
Spring seemed to smile on Earth awhile, and then no more;
But whence she came, which way she went, what garb she wore
I noted not; I gazed a while, and then no more!
