Hello guys,
my anxiety has been all over the place, from brain tumour worries to now heart related anxiety.

I've been in this state of nerves for a few weeks now...some days better than others. Today my bf and I went to the casino with a group of friends. On the way down I was fine, felt a bit nervous because I was scared something bad was going to happen (aka, heart attack). For the first hour I had this twinge feeling pain in my left shoulder going down half way of my left arm. It was on and off, and stopped totally after a little while. (This hasn't really happened before). I also felt some pain in both my collarbones and in my upper back.

I also experienced this chest sensation, where it feels like I have to burp, and sometimes I notice when I'm nervous I get this spasm sensation in the centre of my chest that takes my breath away at times and makes me jump due to the weird feeling and that it's pretty much out of nowhere. Now, some say palpitations, but I'm not sure as my heart rate doesn't change when the spasm happens. It usually comes and goes within seconds, and no pain is associated with it. It's just another worry to be put on my list. I've also begun a taking my pulse thing, it's usually between 73-88. When I'm out walking it goes up to 115. I really hope this is nothing to worry about. I can almost always feel my heart rate and I have noticed that it's typically faster than my boyfriends. :(

I do notice that when I get the spasms, I also have the feeling to burp and coughing helps it. The spasm doesn't MAKE me cough, I make myself cough so it can stop.

Please share your symptoms xx

I would also like to include that the spasm feeling almost feels like when certain spots on your body twitch. But this is inside, feels like in my esophagus. It's also mostly centred in my chest, more on the right side.

Yes i know how you feel! I have even had test done on my heart because i thought i was having signs of a heart attack. Im 22 and my anxiety is so bad to were i always think its something wrong with me. I know my doc and the er are tired of seeing me but i cant help what goes through my thoughts anymore. Some of my symptoms are my left arm feels like it tingling or burning, my upper back and shoulders feels like its alot of pressure (i have muscle relaxers for that for be so tensed all the time from anxiety), feels like my heart skips beats and i feel short of breath. If i dont get up walk around with a cold rags and a cold bottle of water it will go into a full blown panic attack! All the test they done on my heart came back fine, but i still worry...

I'm the same way! Constantly checking my pulse to see if my heart rate is okay, and if I get even the smallest pain in my left arm I start freaking out. I too get the odd palpitations in the center of my chest, it feels as if my heart has skipped a beat and I have to take a huge breath but I don't think my heart rate changes at all... Anxiety related methinks :)
