I started taking citalopram for the 2nd time (I previously took it 2 years ago and it worked great before coming off it last summer) for health anxiety (I get bad headaches and numbness and worry I have a brain tumour) and general anxiety for weeks ago. My doctor started me on 20mg and I have felt awful since I started taking it. I have no appetite at all, I have to force myself to eat even a small amount, I feel sick, my headaches have got worse, I'm tired, so I tried taking it at night instead and I can't sleep! I wake up about 3am and that's it. Also my anxiety seems to have got worse rather than better.
What should I do? Stop taking it, call my doctor and ask or give it more time? Help?
