Would it be ok to stop citalopram 10mg without tapering after 5 weeks?

I have decided that I it would be best for me to quit Citalopram because after 5 weeks I was still experiencing headaches, stomach problems (I take nexium already), restlessness and heightened anxiety (I started taking it for GAD related to chronic pain)

My question is: Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about stopping this med after this time period and would I be likely to suffer any Ill effects from discontinuation?

I would not stop it suddenly. It needs to be tapered off slowly

Taper off, stopping a SSRI instantly is really not good at all for your body.
