Do I went to the eye doctor and he prescribed me an antibiotic/steroid eye drop for inflammation. I get terrified taking new medications in fear of a reaction. So I started them yesterday and now I've been having chest pains that feel like bad heartburn, had some palpitations for a second and I can't decide if it's a real side effect or I'm just so anxious that I'm gonna have a reaction that it's from that....any thoughts?? Also online it says a sideeffect of prednisone is anxiety, so even though it's a small amount, could it be making my anxiety worse?

It's an eye drop. The amount of the streroid is not enough to cause those symptoms. Side effects of a steroid based eye drop may include mild irritation or stinging. So yes, you have yourself worked up and it's causing you distress.
