Woke up chewing? Is this a seizure symptom?

Hi there, :)

While sleeping, I saw very fast flickering flashes which woke me up, but I woke up with me moving my mouth in a chewing motion, I remember reading about this symptom being related to seizures ages ago,

I'm not sure what I experienced, I would like to talk about it with you guys,

I don't have epilepsy, but that feeling I had is making me thing I will get it! :(

This sounds more like brixism which is the clenching and grinding of your teeth, usually while sleeping. I do this every night and some mornings I wake up with my face wore because I have been clenching my teeth so much. I also bite my mouth and tongue in my sleep. This is very common with anxiety and it isn't related to seizures.

I agree with cattia. I have Bruxism caused by stress and Anxiety and I do it in my sleep.

It's caused a whole host of head symptoms for me as well.
