Hi everyone.
I have had constant ear infections for years in the same ear every time. I think my ear drum has burst on many occassions where the pain is intense and it leaks blood and goo! At the moment I am suffering with a bad one, I an hardly hear out of it and it's bleeding and leaking runny wax, it's painful too. I am on antibiotics, on my 6th day. I have one day left but my ear is still the same as it was when I started on them.
Anyway I have to go back next week to check that its cleared up and get a referral to the ENT clinic. My doctor mentioned having grommits insterted. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience of these? What do they actually do and do they work? Do they hurt having them put in?
