tight jaw?

My doctor recently upped my citalopram from 20mg to 30mg a day. I've been on them for about 7 years. The thing that I find now is that I always seem to be clenching my jaw really tightly without knowing. I'm even doing it when I wake up in the morning. Anybody else experience this?

I've only been on them 8 or 9 weeks, 20mg, but I had this too. I suffered from TMJ (musculari and caused by stress) last year and it was just like that. It passed but I still get it when I'm very anxious, like now! X. Have read other people have had it too.

Yes i have been on cit for 3 weeks and i do it all the time, my jaw and neck muscles are tensed because of it!
i wake up clenching my tongue!!

I had this but it did pass.

I looked at it as an outlet for the anxiety! In truth, it's just another short-term side effect - I am nearly six months in now but that one did take a while to stop.

Hi all.
Just knowing it will pass makes it a little easier to bear. Sometimes I've woken up in the night because I've actually bitten my tongue. Enough to draw a little blood!!
