Hi everyone. First post here.
I have a spot behind my left ear - directly behind my earlobe - that seems harder/firmer than the same spot on my right ear. If I press it, it does feel a bit tender. My left ear also gets very congested feeling. This fullness seems to come and go, and I don't know if I would call it a lump... I definitely do not think it is a lymph node, as it seems too "deep" under the surface.
My biggest fears are that it could be some kind of tumour, in my inner ear or on an adenoid. (I'm in my early 20s).
I should note that I have problems with my jaw (TMJ... it is not set correctly and pops horribly on the opposite side to the problem-ear). Not sure if this could contribute/cause the problem. I'm trying to stay away from Google and I really don't want to burden my partner with it - he puts up with so much of health anxiety as is, so I wanted to reach out here!
