It's mothers day here, and I should not be thinking about this..

But there was a bandage in my car today and I had to move it. I've had this paper cut on my hand for a week now and it was on the hand that I used to move the bandage.. there was some blood on the bandage and idk whose it was..

I'm freaking out.. am i at any risk here for hiv?

None. Need sexual or blood to blood contact. HIV can't live outside the body for very long at all. Plus your paper cut wouldn't be an open wound after a week xx

Hi thanks for the response. Question regarding the paper cut.. theres still a slit where the cut occurred, does that mean its still open? or is there new skin underneath?

I know it may be hard to have a definite answer since you can't see the cut, but maybe you understand.

Thanks. Much appreciation.

Based on what you said, it's not difficult to answer at all. A week old paper cut, an old bandage that you picked up to throw away. There's no possible chance. None, nada, negative to the nth degree, frankly impossible.

Enjoy the day!

Nope not a chance at all duck.
Your paper cut probably wouldn't even be open afyer that long wven if it was there would still be no chance as the blood waa dry

From what I know there has to be open cuts on both people and the cuts joined together for a short time.. not sure if its right but it qas what I was told
