Going doctors and I'm petrified

So today I'm off to docs , I'm so nervous I could cry , I feel sick keep running to the toilet etc etc , I feel silly going but my dry mouth is really really bothering me x

So I went and he is sending me for a blood test to rule out diabetes and anemia , he said I don't have to fast , but and here's the famous but , how can they tell if you have diabetes from a full blood count without even fasting , I've googled it and a full blood count don't even test for blood glucose :( c

I've had a diabetes blood test without fasting so don't worry, it's legit:) My Dr said, when I questioned it, that it gives a more accurate reading because sugar will be in your blood if you eat a normal diet beforehand. The fasting one can sometimes give a false result.

Thanks so much , he said that he doesn't think it's anything sinister but it's to put my mind at rest , will just be glad when it's done if my phone rings at all I'll be a nervous wreck x
