Hi All

I am suffering with stomach pains at the moment, which is most uncomfortable after eating or drinking lots. I have gone through a very bad patch recently and living off gaviscon/ranitidine which really do help.

Im going to see a consultant at the hospital on friday and really worried about having an ulcer which hasnt healed (undiagnosed) and now its turned to cancer.

My partner says it sounds like indigestion.

Is it normal to have indigestion daily? I thought persistent indigestion means there is a cause (sinister?)

I dont know much about indigestion or what it feels like.

The key to sorting out digestion problems isn't always medication as they just treat the symptoms. You have to find the cause and make changes accordingly.

The most common things that cause indigestion are over eating, solve this by eating smaller meals. Certain types of food such as fried food, coffee, tomatoes, chocolate, fizzy drinks, citrus fruits & juices. Find your trigger and alter your diet accordingly.
