Hi guys,

Doing my laundry this morning and as I took out my clothes I noticed that there was someone's plaster in the filter bit that collects the water after a load. It can't have been my own as it was a different colour to those that I use.

Would you advise me to rewash my clothes using another machine? I can't help but think the clothes I just "washed" have been tainted by the bacteria on the plaster/bacteria possibly living in the machine

Any bacteria would have been killed in the wash

The washing powder and hot water would have killed any bacteria.

Sorry if this makes me sound silly haha but there isn't a chance then I could catch anything from my clothes? I'm scared of bloodborne disease and just the sight of a used plaster in with my clothes makes my stomach turn ):

No you won't catch anything from your clothes.

Thanks for your replies. Just to confirm - there is no risk of me getting Hep C?

None

You do need to try and convince yourself of these things though rather than ask us to confirm it
