eye floaters

Really worried i've had floaters in my right eye for awhile but they have changed to what looks like a cloud or patch of steam that moves when I move my eyes.I am really scared, has anyone else had this? does anyone know if it is serious?

Ive got this ive had it for about 3 and a half years... its exactly like you describe, like steam when you move your eye in a certain direction

I am really worried it could be a detached retina. do you get the cloud when you are reading so you can't see all the words?

Like I say ive had it for over 3 years... I dont get the cloud thing though...
