Any ideas how long Gastrografin takes to work? Is a trip to the gym now a silly idea?

I don't think I would be planning a trip to the gym!

Thought not! It tastes vile and I only have 40 mins to drink the lot....

Make sure you have some sort of entertainment in the loo, books, ipad etc as you will be spending a long time in there :)

I think it is the same thing...is it prep for colonoscopy? I think what I took was called Fleet.

What were your symptoms if you don't mind me asking? I'm a similar age to you, and similar job I think

I have since been diagnosed with ibs. Bloating stomach, often having to run to the loo straight after eating. Nausea.

Me too. Did you worry that it might be something more sinister or are you accepting of the IBS diagnosis?

I was a bit worried at first but I have had it so long now that I just accept that it is ibs.

Bit concerned as only had a couple of BMs since taking the Gastrografin last night. Very different experience from others. Any ideas is this working?

The stuff I had I am sure was called Fleet so not sure if it is the same thing. I was terrible with it, couldn't move from the loo and it also made me vomit. I was having an endoscopy and colonoscopy at the same time though.

Thank you Annie. I thought I would be the same. I took today off work but I think I would have been fine!
