I am having a Barium swallow/meal very soon...

Hopefully this will put my mind at rest and rule out any disorder of my GI tract... Do you know I almost hope they do find something that could explain my daily retching episodes...

Does anyone on here know what specific problems a Barium test can reveal??? I hear it can show up a lot of things such as ulcers, acid reflux, inflammation, etc. Is this correct??
And has anyone on here ever had a Barium test and if so how was it and how long did it take for results?

I had one but it was such a long time ago that things may have changed since then. I certainly had no problems with it.

Hi I cancelled it again for a 2nd time. Luckily I have enough savings to pay for a one off treatment (barium) which will hopefully tell me if there is anything untoward in my GI tract.
It is worth the one off payment to get seen to quicker !!!
