OK guys. I need a bit of advice. Ive been on efexor for 6 years on and off now, on 3 different occaisions. The 1st time was great and helped loads keeping my anxiety in check, eventually feeling so good i decided to come off them. But each time coming off and going back on them has meant less and less effectiveness. Any other drugs i've taken have had disasterous results. Effexor is only one that seems to have any effect. Anyway. This is 6 years down the line and obviously i know they are not helping me any more. I've been turning it over in my head for a couple of months now and i want to come off them again and try to live without medication i'm just really scared I wont be able to cope. It's been so long since i've been off them i can hardly remember what it feels like! Any advice? What wd u do? I know the sensible thing is to come off them but will i regret this. I have a doc appointment on the 14th Dec and have still not made up my mind.
