View Full Version : So now to loose my avoidance techniques

Just got back off hols which were great and which I enjoyed and .... which I worried very little (that is in relation to past holidays)! Anyone who has read my posts knows that I have deep, embedded, habitual, exhausting, draining avoidance techniques. These were of course present on holiday but I made a decision a couple of months back that after the two holidays in May I had to go head on with that dragon or there would always be an excuse to just keep on going in the same manner as I have for the past ten years !!! On my next holiday I not only do not want HA to dictate my decisions I would like that it didn't bleeding come at all :yesyes:
So now I have to start and undo these years of avoidance. I understand the principals of CBT and know what I have to do, however I would really appreciate any advice. I need to desensitise myself (what is the correct terminology?). I need to rewrite my brain. Any tips?
