Hi guys.

I expect most of you has probably suffered with these symptoms, so your advice is greatly needed!

For over a week now I have been getting a headache every day! I am even sat here now typing this and I have a headache. It often lasts for hours, I am drinking enough water I think, but I keep worrying, what if its something wrong with me? I have never had a headache everyday like this! Don't know what to do. Has anyone else ever suffered with this? And what do you think it could be?

It hurts that bad that I nearly cry, I keep getting the headache in different places aswell, the pain is everywhere at the moment, I have taken paracetamol on and off this past week but it doesn't seem to help at times. Whats wrong? Why do I keep getting them?

Hi,

I have suffered for 5 years with headaches on/off, infact and had it 24/7 for approx 3 years. I went for all the tests etc and everything was normal and it was anxiety.

Your correct, paracetamol and nurofen etc do not work for stress/tension headaches, I used to use tablets from boots, which were for tension headaches, they have codeine in them, which helped.

Doctor put me on Amatriptiline (50mg), which took the headaches from a 10/10 to 4/10 etc.

Hi.

Thanks for your reply. I don't want to go on meds for it, after the experiences I have had with certain meds in the past am rather inclined not to go on any again!

I don't think anxiety is causing the headaches either, as am getting them everyday which is strange and wouldn't have thought anxiety would make me get it so much. I don't know though, thats why I am worried.

Hi,

I thought mine was not anxiety related as mine appeared on christmas eve wehre I was ever so happy at the time.

Since then I kept telling the doc that I was relaxed etc and the specialist diagnosed me after a lumper puncture and an MRI scans as it was DPH (daily persistant headache).

Hi,

Apparently it's not dangerous at all but it does impace with your life style so medication was needed with me to help ease the pain.

The tests were not nice at all but they all came back normal.

I had not heard of it until I brought a book on it and looked on the websites.
