New to the site and in need of some advice

Hi everyone

this is my first post to the site although I joined at the end of last year when my anxiety was at it's absolute worst. I'm doing much better and I'm now on citalopram 30mg a day which has been great. The advice I need is regarding pregnancy. My husband and I are wanting to start trying for our first child around September time. I have read the possible side effects related to citalopram and pregnancy and I am not wanting to take any risks and so continuing on citalopram for me is not really an option, however I am open to other medications/ options if there is proven evidence to support no side effects to a developing fetus.

Does anyone have any advice they can offer?

I don't no about the side effects but prepare yourself for the side affects of coming of cit,it will
Take a while so reduce your dosage very slowly and please see your doc

thankyou, I am in regular contact with my doctor and am aware that it will take a while to reduce down, just after advice about other meds.
