Pain left upper back

Me again totally panic stricken. Have a sharp pain left side of my back when I take deep breaths. Hoping it's muscular but I smoke and am fearing the worse.Taking Ibuprofen and trying to get the courage to see a doctor. Had the pain for 3 days now and have gone onto electronic cigarettes. Has anyone any advice I am going out of my mind with worry.

Congratulations on moving to e cigs. I've been on them since October and feel much better for it. I'm no doctor but it definitely sounds muscular to me. When you breathe deeply the muscles expand causing the pain. I get this quite often. I find doing some light stretching helps. Take care....

Thank you for reply. E cigs not too bad! Wake up call when you have unexplained aches, hope it is muscular .
